Two great teachers managed to make it into the top ten from Naruto, wow! It’s time for the best of the best, though! Who will we find behind the class podium for the top three?

3. Onizuka Eikichi ( Great Teacher Onizuka )

There was a tie for second place, and the first of those two is none other than Onizuka-sensei from Great Teacher Onizuka ( GTO ). He’s barely in his twenties, but Onizuka has lived a pretty crazy life by the time he becomes a teacher. Likewise, his students are a class of delinquents that seem doomed to pretty dangerous lives, but through his incredible strength and determination to push them towards a better path, Onizuka always seems to come out on top, and each student is the better for it.

It wasn’t easy for the class to bond with him at first, but he’s honest and caring in a way that ends up making everyone trust him (and rightfully so!).

2. Koro-sensei ( Ansatsu Kyoushitsu )

The next winner of second place is Koro-sensei of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu! This octopus-like teacher is a bit of an oddball with a mysterious background and outrageous power, and his class is full of students tasked with a mission to kill him by the end of the school year. It feels like a hopeless cause for the class, but despite the odd circumstances, Koro-sensei manages to connect with each of his students and help them grow.

1. Yamaguchi Kumiko (Yankumi) ( Gokusen )

Taking the title of coolest teacher is Yamaguchi Kumiko (AKA Yankumi) from Gokusen. Similar to Onizuka, Yamaguchi is a strong person with an unconventional background. She’s technically the heir to a powerful Yakuza clan, and it shows in the rough way she speaks and acts, but she’s kind-hearted and fights only to defend herself or those she cares about.

Yamaguchi manages to inspire students that other teachers would give up on, so it’s no surprise to see her take the crown.
